EduRun is a Charity Run organised by Persatuan Prihatin Komuniti Johor Bahru (PPKJB) or Johor Bahru Community Care.

PPKJB has been working closely with Tabung Kebajikan Perubatan Malaysia (TKPM) [Hospital Sultanah Aminah JB branch] to assist needy patients to provide monthly groceries (Adopt-a-family projects), food offerings during festive season (Food-For-Needy project) and participating in the “Back To School” projects to provide school-going children of needy families with school bags and stationeries.

Through these projects, TPKM has identified students that requires further assistance to finance their education needs such as tuition fees, transports to schools etc.

PPKJB started the first Edurun in 2018 to raise funds to help subsidise the education cost burden of needy families. Subsequently we organised another Edurun in 2019 but did not organise one in 2020 due to Covid-19 restrictions.With schools expected to reopen and students expected back to school, there will be additional expenses to be borne by families who are already struggling to make ends meet. We hope to raise funds to assist these families.

We estimate about RM3,000 per student for the whole year and this year, the target is to raise RM60,000 in order to help at least 20 students.
